Linda Ballew

Linda Ballew, Director of Projects for The Harnisch Foundation, joined the team in 2006.
She organizes and provides governance for HF projects, and evaluates and develops new project ideas. Linda is an essential part of whatever gets done around here because she can organize almost anything. Her project management skills help guide the research activities of The Foundation of Coaching. She runs the online community known as the Coaching Commons where she also writes weekly blog posts and chooses the delightful graphic illustrations. She edits and publishes The Chronicle of Coaching, a weekly online compendium of coaching-related media. She served the Global Community of Coaches as their first administrator and global point person for over a year, and is still a beloved advocate for coaches all over the world.
Several years ago, HF founder Ruth Ann Harnisch received a funding request from Linda, who was then working for the ninth largest behavioral healthcare provider in the U.S. This began a creative donor-partnership that continued when Linda’s friendraising and fundraising skills brought her to the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee as Vice President of Development. The Harnisch Foundation gave a grant to the YW for executive coaching for Linda.
Linda’s positive experience with coaching made her a natural to join The Foundation of Coaching team at its inception. In ensuing years, her portfolio of responsibilities has expanded to include the entire range of Harnisch Foundation interests.
Linda holds a degree in Mass Communication with minors in Psychology and Marketing. She taught dance for many years and has been known to “bust a move” from time to time - with appropriate grace and southern charm, of course.
Linda lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband, David.
